I like some of Snow Patrol songs not all, but this is my favorite. The lyrics are simple and amazing. It's something I think I said to my ex when we broke up, he is happy, I am happy and I will always be happy for him and his family.
You Could Be Happy - Snow Patrol
You could be happy and I won't know
But you weren't happy the day I watched you go
And all the things that I wished I had not said
Are played in loops 'till it's madness in my head
Is it too late to remind you how we were
But not our last days of silence, screaming, blur
Most of what I remember makes me sure
I should have stopped you from walking out the door
You could be happy, I hope you are
You made me happier than I'd been by far
Somehow everything I own smells of you
And for the tiniest moment it's all not true
Do the things that you always wanted to
Without me there to hold you back, don't think, just do
More than anything I want to see you, girl
Take a glorious bite out of the whole world

I like to watch ...
... Mad Men. I have to admit I did not understand what all the blah blah blah was about this show. Who cares, 60s ad men, male chauvinist pigs, whateves. Even with the whole Emmy buzz I was like blah. I tried watching the show when it first premiered on AMC and I could not get through it. Then last week I was chatting with my BFF Bayo about true blood and my Halloween custom and he said True blood is one of the best shows on TV besides Mad Men. Now, if you know Bayo, you know he never watches TV unless it is good. This is unlike me, I watch good TV but I also watch crap TV like "Real Chance of Love" and other VH1 shows. I have followed those shows since "Flavor of Love."
Anywhoos, so last Thursday, I downloaded the first season and started watching. I have to admit, the first eps. was kind of boring to me. It was all about smoking, blah. Then at the end of the esp. when Paggy makes her moves on Don, I thot wow!, then Don goes home and I find out he is married to a gorgeous woman and was obviously cheating on her. WOW!!! Then my sister called, she told me to keep watching it gets better. So I did. I finished all thirteen esp. by Sunday. I am on season 2 now and up to esp.6.
It is awful of me to love Don and understand that he cheats? I understand why he does it, I understand he loves his family. His children mean the world to him, yet he can smile at his child and feel bad he has lied to her her whole lie in one sitting and get up, tell his wife he has to go to the office, only to call another woman who he is planning to meet.
I LOVE Joan. She makes me feels so great about my body. I will never be stick thin, I have boobs, they are not going away. So when I see here and the way Roger Sterling looks at her, I know it's ok to have curves.
I do not really care for P&P. I could go on and on but I really love this show and happy Bayo finally turned me on to it.
Jon's mom forgot her cigarettes at our home the other day and while watching Mad Men I held on cig. between my fingers, Jon thought it was crazy! but could not stop laughing! :)

Prison Break =
Awesome show! I love how they get down to business. No wasting my time, not hanging on the edge. Actually there are a lot of hanging on the edge but not the kind I get from waiting a lot of other shows (i.e Lost). Before the first commercial my questions were answered. Gotta love it. Even though I was kind of annoyed they kept the show going after season one, this show has actually kept to it's premise of breaking in and out of prison and kept it entertaining + no wasting my time!

Fun Times
My friend come down from New Jersey for the weekend. We had a blast. On Friday night we went to Las Olas with a friend from work.
I dance with a French guy and he is so HOT!!! He had an Asian face and when I was dancing with him, he said i am not American and my English is not so good. I said no problem, we don't have to talk, he then said, guess what I am, I said I don't know, tell me, he said I am French. I am sure he has used this line a lot of time, because even I fell for it, I said wow! that is sooo cool. I was pretty smashed at this time. He was sooooo cute.
I told him I had to leave and when we got to the garage he showed up, I ran into the elevator but he caught my friend and asked "is your friend gone." She started calling for me, I said hellz no, lets go, I was hiding. I was holding up the elevator and the people inside were starting to scream. So one of the girls in the elevator went to get my friend. My friend didn't end up getting all the number from the handsome French guy.
It was a great night. I usually don't get to go out and have from with my friends like that. I look forward to doing it more often. Jon was pretty jealous when I told him about the French guy. I added "You are so lucky I am such a loyal girlfriend, when else am I gonna met a French dude, with Asian face."

Vampire Weekend
I saw Vampire Weekend last night. It was an amazing show. The music was a little different live and that just how I like it. The opening band "Harlem Sharks" were not so bad either.
I will definitely go back to a Vampire Weekend show and I hope they come back to SoFla. We love you :)

Wii Fit Mii
I got the Wii Fit yesterday, configured and played a few games. I have already unlocked a few other games. My whole reason for buying the Wii in the first place was so I can play the Fit. When I first saw the demo for the fit, I was blown away. I though maybe, just maybe this is the thing to get me off my ass and do some activities. I hate working out, but when I think of it as a game and a competition, I get motivated.
I am very impressed with the Fit, I do have to buy a mat for the Fir board as we have carpet and it doesn't read accurately.

Continuing Education
I am going to be taking some PHP/MYsql classes this summer. I really should just get a book and read it but I feel better with someone telling me how it works rather than reading about it. I guess my brain works in a different way. Maybe with my new found PHP skills I can help out with creating some useful tools at work, contribute to this position.

I like to watch
I love movies!!! I watch at least two new movies a week, and that is on a bad week. The past two weeks have been awesome. Two of my most anticipated movies came out and I got to see them.

I really loved Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. I did not see that movie at the theater but when I first saw it with a bunch of friends at home, I thought it was one of the funniest movies ever! So when rumors started about a sequel, I was very excited! I am happy to say I really enjoyed the sequel Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. I cannot stop saying "cock meat sandwich!!!" It was not as good as the first movie but I really enjoyed it.

Then I saw Iron Man. The best super hero movie ever made. Yes, even better than the original Superman. It was brilliant. I have no complains, there was no continuity error. It was as close to perfection as a movie can get. Robert Downey Jr. is the best! the R8 was so sexy in this move, I cannot say enough.

Stupid at Work
I don't know how much longer I can take this IT thing, both with TS and maint. People call about the most annoying things. This lady called me three times, and the last time she could not type in any numbers and felt this was due to our website. I advised her umm NO, I can log in and asked her to use the numbers on top of the letters (breaking it down) and she said oh there it goes! I wanted to shoot someone; she called because her num lock was off and felt it was our site. I mean common sense would say since I cannot enter the numbers maybe I should try all the numbers on my KB first then call and accuse the company.
There is a man that works with us at the company. Every day he calls me about 5 times, I have to remote into his PC almost daily, eating up valuable time. I know it is part of my job, but if someone cannot figure out how to save an attached excel file OMFG!!!
That's my brief rant! HELP ME!!!

I Am In Love With Karnivool
We went to a concert on Friday and I was thinking I only like 1 band out of the 4 playing but I will have to stay through 2 shitty bands to get to see them. The arena was crappy too, I hate Revolutions! Anyways, the show was supposed to start at 7pm door open at 6pm and it was raining. So we get there at 7:30 and no one was in the door yet. Finally we go in at 8:15pm. I had to return my umbrella to the car because they wouldn't let me take it in. I could use it as a weapon. We wait about another 30mins and the first band comes on start. OMG, I was in love.

The lead singer is something out of this world. I have never seen someone sing with such passion for his music. He was so fascinated by the moshing that he stopped singing for a second. When a band can appreciate the audience like that, ahhh I am in love. So they do about 5 or 6 songs and go off stage. They were so good. Ian Kenny's (lead singer I am in love with - Ian is the one in the sunglasses above - he is not really my type but he will be for the next few days or months) voice is so beautiful and he is a great performer.
Later that night, when the head liner (nonpoint) was playing, I went to the back so I could get a better view of the band. When I came back to my spot, I saw Ian standing there, next to my boyfriend. I couldn't believe it, he was right next to me, my love. So I tapped him on the shoulder and gave him a thumb up and he put his hands together in a praying position and then put out his hand for a shake. OMG!!! I shook his hands and he then pointed at the mosh pit and shook his head, I smiled and nodded yes. We were standing next to the speakers, so me talking wouldn't have mattered, plus I later found out he was wearing ear plugs.
He was so down to earth. He stood next to me for a while just watching the mosh pit (we had the best view)
The guy next to me was such a jerk. He kept smoking and then throwing his cigarette butts into the mosh pit. He also drank about 10 to 15 beers. He would drink until the cup is almost empty, then he would fling his cup with the rest of the beer into the mosh pit.
The mosh pit was a fucking zoo, full of crazy animals. I wouldn't have made it and I am happy I didn't go into the mosh because of the asshole next to me. I would have gotten my hair all stinky from beer or burnt from his cigarette butt.
I am so in love with Ian Kenny, to Love him is to see him play! I am getting the album and listening non stop until my crush dies down.

My PersonalDNA
You are a Director
# As a DIRECTOR, you combine an unusual openness and passion for beauty and style with confidence and a down-to-earth sensibility that allow you to realize your vision.
# You are practical and pay attention to the details that others tend to miss.
# By focusing on what is real and concrete, you achieve more than those who always have their heads in the clouds.
# When it comes to what really matters in your life, you are confident in your ability to succeed.
# Having beautiful things in your life gives you pleasure and satisfaction - you have a keen eye for style.
# Even when problems present themselves, deep down you know you will overcome these challenges.
# When routines get too familiar, you become bored and start looking for ways to spice things up.
# You are open to new types of experiences – you are not afraid to take a risk on something new.
# You have a highly developed sense of taste – you know what looks good on you, in your home, and in the world at large.
# You're not one to force your positions on a group, and you tend to be fair in evaluating different options.
# You are balanced in your approach to problem-solving, not letting your emotions hold you up.
If you want to be different:
# Occasionally let yourself dream a little more, even if it doesn't seem practical or efficient.
how you relate to others
You are Advocating
# Being social, empathic, and understanding makes you ADVOCATING.
# Some people find being around others exhausting—but not you! You are energized by spending time with friends, and you are good at meeting new people.
# One of the reasons you enjoy conversation as much as you do is that you often learn about yourself while talking things out with a friend; you realize things about your own beliefs while discussing them with others.
# You have insight into what others are thinking and feeling. This ability allows you to be happy for others, and to commiserate when something has gone wrong for them.
# You are highly compassionate, and being conscious of how things affect those close to you leaves you cautious about trusting others too hastily.
# Despite these reservations, you are open-minded when it comes to your worldview; you don't look to impose your ways on others.
# Your sensitivity towards others' plights contributes to an understanding—both intellectual and emotional—of many different perspectives.
# As someone who understands the complexities of the world around you, you are reluctant to pass judgments.
If you want to be different:
# While it's important to think about others, don't forget to take some time for yourself, and occassionally to put yourself first.
# Take some time to spend with a few close friends; although it's difficult to find people to trust, it's worth the effort.
# When you have great ideas, it can be hard to relinquish control, but it can also feel good to take the pressure off and enjoy someone else leading the way.

Love Love Love Love Love Love Love
| The Keys to Your Heart |
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free. In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored. You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change. You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please. Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets. Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred. In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. |

Kurt Vonnegut
A Sample.
I was those seeds,I am this meat,
This meat hates pain,
This meat must eat.
This meat must sleep,
This meat must dream,
This meat must laugh,
This meat must scream,
But when as meat,
It's had it's fill
Please plant it as
A Daffodil

SADE!!!
According to Stuart Matthewman, "there will be a new Sade album before there is a new Sweetback album." When I heard this news via Mad Thinka with the yahoo Sade group (great group btw), I had the best day ever at work. Even when I have people who were not very happy, I had a smile on my face just thinking about the new album. Just the fact that there is HOPE that Sade might record and tour again makes me so happy. I would pay anything to see them live again. Great show!

Once again
So John Legend is coming back down here. This time he is coming with Corinne Bailey Rae. I really would like to go BUT after the drama at the last one and seeing how much it cost for tix, I said umm no!
However, I really would love to see Robin Thicke again. He was the opening act last time and now that he is making it big, I would love to see him ringing in a big way. He did not have room to run around and jump. I got his album after the last concert, and I must say, I really like a lot of the songs on it. I think the lyrics need some work, but something special.
